PENTAIR  ANNOUNCES INTENT TO SEPARATE INTO TWO INDUSTRY-LEADING PUBLIC COMPANIES

We have exciting news to share with you about our company.

Last week Pentair announced a plan to separate into two independent, publicly traded companies formed from our current Water and Electrical segments. The creation of two focused companies is the next logical step in the evolution of Pentair and both new companies will have the focus, talent and flexibility to better serve you. A copy of the news release we issued is attached.

Pentair Thermal Management, as part of Pentair’s Electrical segment, has a long and strong history in heat tracing with renowned brands: Raychem, Tracer, Nuheat, Pyrotenax and Tracetek. Having sold over 1 billion feet of Raychem self-regulating cables, we are a leader in providing safe and reliable thermal solutions for industrial processes and commercial and residential building applications.

The planned separation, which we expect to occur in the second quarter of 2018, will have little or no impact on our customers except to further improve our ability to meet your needs over time. Indeed, this process should be seamless to you. All of us are focused – as always – on delivering superior products and services to meet your needs.
